Elements of Art

Line art is a simple way to make interesting art. Lines can be thick, thin, straight, curved, up, or down. Maybe even all around.

Shape art is closed lines of any sort. It can be geometric or random lines that meet a close.

Form is the art of depth, length, width and the illusion of 3-D.

Space is a blanket around each object to add negative space to show more depth.

Color is the light reflecting off objects. Using the three main characteristics, hue, value and intensity, simple color art can be one of the best paintings or drawings.

Textures at a new depth to art and photography. It could be soft, rough, smooth, or bumpy. But either way, it can be flat by the viewer, just by looking at the picture or painting.
