Mid-Term Part 1

For the first picture, I placed myself before changing my color scheme to black and white. After that, I erased a section of me to make it seem as though I'm behind the girl. The second picture used almost the same process. But, I didn't make myself black and white. I used the blur and dodge tool to create the illusion of being in the painting. I also erased part of my lower body to make it seem that I am behind Washington. The last photo was simple. After placing her face, I burned and dodged to make it seem like she was truly there.

High speed Photography

High speed photography is a beautiful thing. Moments that happen in only a matter of seconds can now be captured for all to awe at. Photographs of bursts, colors, smooth changes that we might have never seen in our lives can be caught in high speed photography. Questions like "What does a balloon look like while it pops?" can now be answered. My favorite out of all of these is the wine glasses. The smooth transition of red from dark to light is absolutely magnificent. A simple gesture, like pouring wine, can now be caught in high speed photography as a beautiful work of art. Which it is. The simple, yet elegant way the wine curves as it falls into the cup is a simple gesture. In no way is high speed photography is beautiful.
